1. Getting Here & Directions

The Evergreen Theatre is perched atop the North Mountain overlooking the Bay of Fundy, just minutes from Kingston and Middleton.

From Hwy 101 Westbound
(Halifax / Wolfville / Kentville)

  1. Take Exit 17E (Kingston / Bishop Mountain Road).
  2. Turn right onto Bishop Mountain Road heading north (~3.5 km).
  3. Turn left (west) onto Highway 221 (~2 km).
  4. Turn right (north) onto Stronach Mountain Road (~2.5 km).
  5. Evergreen Theatre is on your left; free parking lot on your right.

From Hwy 101 Eastbound
(Annapolis Royal / Digby / Yarmouth)

  1. Take Exit 18 (Middleton) onto Brooklyn Road.
  2. Turn left onto Junction Road north to Highway 362 (Gates Mountain Rd).
  3. Continue on Hwy 362 along Spa Springs Road toward the mountain.
  4. Turn onto Stronach Mountain Road and follow up the mountain.
  5. Evergreen Theatre is on your left; free parking lot on your right.
Mountain Driving Tip: Cellular reception can be intermittent on rural mountain stretches. We recommend setting your GPS navigation or saving your route prior to leaving Highway 101.

2. Parking & Arrival

Parking is always 100% free at Evergreen Theatre:

  • Main Parking Lot: A spacious gravel parking lot is located directly across the road from the theatre entrance.
  • Accessible Parking: Designated accessible parking spaces with blue signage are located directly in front of the theatre ramp for patrons with mobility permits.
  • Winter Maintenance: During winter concert dates, the parking lot is plowed and salt/sand is applied to all steps, walkways, and the access ramp before doors open.

3. Accessibility & Accommodations

We are dedicated to ensuring live music is welcoming and comfortable for all:

  • Barrier-Free Access: A gently sloping exterior access ramp provides smooth, stair-free access to our modern lobby addition.
  • Wheelchair Seating: The auditorium features two dedicated, easily accessible wheelchair spaces. To reserve companion seating or wheelchair spaces, please email [email protected] in advance.
  • Universal Restroom: The lobby includes a modern, fully accessible barrier-free washroom.

4. The Licensed Bar & Concessions

  • Local Drink Selection: Our licensed bar opens at 7 pm (one hour before showtime) and reopens during intermission. We proudly serve Nova Scotia craft beers, Annapolis Valley cider, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Payment Options: We accept Cash, Debit, Credit Card, and Mobile Tap (Square).
  • Food & Dining: We serve cold beverages and local craft drinks only (we do not serve hot meals or snacks). We warmly encourage patrons to dine at one of the wonderful local restaurants in Kingston, Middleton, or the Annapolis Valley before heading up the mountain!

5. Hall Etiquette & Policies

  • Listening Room Atmosphere: Evergreen is celebrated across the Maritimes as an attentive listening venue. Please silence mobile phones prior to the 8 pm showtime. Conversations are welcomed in the lobby before the concert and during intermission.
  • Ticket Policy & Credits: All ticket sales are final. We do not give cash refunds, but are happy to give a full credit for future purchases if tickets are cancelled with reasonable notice. Contact [email protected].
  • Sold-Out Concerts: When a 115-seat show sells out, patrons are welcome to contact [email protected] to inquire about any last-minute returned tickets or seat availability.
