Fundy Folk Night is coming back to the Evergreen Theatre in E. Margaretsville on Saturday May 23 at 8:00 PM.
We are really looking forward to this show, as it will be featuring two returnees to the Evergreen.
Naming the Twins is the harmonizing duo of songwriter Robbie Smith and Kathleen Glauser, whose well matched voices sound a bit like Peter, Paul and Mary if one of the guys took the night off, a bit like Simon and Garfunkel if Art was a girl, a bit like Gordon Lightfoot or Stan Rogers if either of them had a girl harmonizer. Kathleen and Robbie are just back from a winter spent touring in the eastern US down as far as Florida (poor them!) and we are thrilled to have them back on the Fundy Folk stage.
Dan McKinnon is an old fashioned traditional singer-songwriter whose songs and style are reminiscent of the late great Stan Rogers. His smooth baritone voice is a pleasure to listen to, his songs are finely crafted works and his rapport with the audience is easy and real. Dan has just returned from a tour in the UK , and when we asked him to be on the bill with the Twins he readily agreed. As old musical friends they will each be performing their own sets and then they’ll get together for some great harmonizing! Get ready to sing along!
This year’s first Fundy Folk Night will be a great night of good old folk music, and at a good old price of only $10.00 a head! Hope you can be there!
